Encapsulation Material: To enhance the water resistance of LED strips, an extra protective layer, such as silicone or epoxy resin, is typically applied to render them either water-resistant or fully waterproof.

This practice is prevalent in LED strip lights that bear IP65, IP67, or IP68 ratings.

Adhesive Backing: Most LED strips come with a self-adhesive backing made from materials like 3M adhesive tape, which allows for easy mounting on surfaces.

This backing is usually heat-resistant to prevent it from peeling off due to heat generated by the LED.

Connectors and Wiring: LED strip lights typically come with connectors made from durable plastic and metal to enable easy connections with a power supply or dimmers.
