GS LIGHT supplied 440 LED luminaires for DP World Sokhna Port in Ain Sokhna, Egypt, in 2016. The supply included 100 high-power LED flood lights for outdoor port areas and 340 LED panel lights for staff facilities. A large-scale port environment includes different operational and supporting areas, each requiring an appropriate lighting solution.
For DP World Sokhna Port, the project involved two distinct lighting applications. The outdoor port areas required high-power LED flood lights capable of providing broad-area illumination, while the staff dining area required uniform and practical indoor lighting for everyday use.
The key requirement was therefore not simply to provide lighting products, but to select suitable luminaires according to the different functions of each area.
This called for a flexible lighting approach that could address both the operational requirements of the port and the lighting needs of its supporting facilities.
To address these different requirements, GS LIGHT developed a multi-application LED lighting solution using different luminaires for the port area and staff dining facility.

For the DP World Sokhna Port project, GS LIGHT supplied 440 LED luminaires across three models, covering outdoor port area lighting and indoor staff facility lighting.
GS LIGHT supplied 65 units of GSF-200W-DH 200W LED Flood Lights for the port area.
The fixture uses 72 Bridgelux LEDs and a 90° beam angle, providing broad light distribution for outdoor area lighting. It is equipped with a TUV IP67 driver and supports AC100–240V input.
The port area also used 35 units of GSF-150W-DM 150W LED Flood Lights.
The fixture is equipped with 72 CREE XTE LEDs and a Meanwell driver, providing another high-power lighting configuration for the outdoor port environment.
For the staff dining area, GS LIGHT supplied 340 units of GSP-66-40W Edge-Lit LED Panel Lights.
The 600 × 600mm panel light provides 4,200 lm of output and was selected to provide practical and uniform illumination for the indoor staff facility.
For large commercial and industrial projects, long-term operation provides an important reference beyond the initial installation stage.
